Will Evans is Director of the London Assay Office at the Goldsmiths' Company, which has hallmarked precious metals in London for 700 years. He leads the LAO's enforcement work tackling unhallmarked and misdescribed precious metal sales online, including monitoring of UK selling platforms and social media, test purchase programmes, and prosecutions under the Hallmarking Act 1973.
