Scott Walter is CEO and Assay Master of the Edinburgh Assay Office—the UK’s largest Assay Office by volume and an institution with almost 600 years of history. He is also Chairman of the International Hallmarking Convention and has led the development of award-winning digital traceability, certification and hallmarking systems. Scott is currently working with the British Hallmarking Council and the Department for Business and Trade to modernise hallmarking legislation and strengthen compliance across online sales channels and marketplaces.
