Scott Walter is CEO and Assay Master at the Edinburgh Assay Office. By volume of articles marked, Edinburgh is the UK’s largest Assay Office. Edinburgh Assay Office has been testing and hallmarking precious metal articles for nearly 600 years. The Assay Office is where traceability in the Jewellery industry began, and Scott has been at the forefront of developing EAO's award-winning digital tracking systems as well as their online archives. Scott has led the development of online digital certification for jewellery retailers and the development of digital hallmarking for integration with the wider digital supply chain tracking ecosystem.
