Graham Mogg LLM MCTSI, is the founder and CEO of the multi award winning WRi Group, a company providing consultancy services to global brands, public sector government and enforcement agencies and Assay offices to protect consumers and businesses impacted by illicit trade. He is a retired Police Officer, serving 31 years with South Wales Police mainly as a detective and on national secondments. He holds a master’s degree in IP Law and is recognised as a subject matter expert having been at the forefront of creating key infrastructures and collaborative public and private sector partnerships to tackle illicit trade in the UK and overseas. In 2022 his company was the recipient of a British Hallmarking Council Special Touchstone Award for their work in identifying the threat to the precious metal and jewellery sectors from bad actors operating on-line. Graham and his team at WRi Group coordinate and deliver the education and awareness projects commissioned by London Assay Office (OP Stamping It Out), Sheffield Assay Office (OP Tudor Rose) and Edinburgh Assay Office (OP Lion Rampant) through which some 800+ retailers have been visited. These programs have created a framework for a true, public and private sector, collaborative response to ensuring compliance of the Hallmarking Act, 1973 through awareness, education and, when required, enforcement.
