Ruby from Kashmir
This remarkable corundum var. ruby specimen features a well-formed crystal beautifully positioned on the contrasting white matrix. The crystal displays a superb, vivid pinkish-red color, an attractive natural form, and a strong visual presence. Under UV light, the ruby shows an intense pink fluorescence, adding another striking feature to the specimen. Ruby is the red variety of corundum, with its color primarily caused by traces of chromium. Originating from the Nangimali Ruby Deposit in Neelum District, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan, this is an impressive specimen with excellent color, contrast, and overall aesthetics.
