Replatforming Louped’s Luxury Jewellery Marketplace with Magento 2
One of the biggest challenges was data migration. Louped had more than 400GB of product image data and other eCommerce assets that needed to be moved to the new platform. Existing limitations around migration tooling had resulted in errors, inconsistencies and delays, making data accuracy a critical requirement for the project.
The marketplace also needed stronger system integration and more efficient order management. Manual processes were affecting productivity, while vendors faced difficulties with product uploads, navigation and general marketplace usability.
At the same time, Louped was undergoing a significant brand transition from I Do Now I Don’t to Louped. The rebrand had affected customer trust, website traffic and engagement, making the digital experience an important part of rebuilding credibility with both buyers and sellers.
Magneto IT Solutions replatformed the marketplace on Magento 2, migrating product listings, orders, customer information and digital assets while maintaining data accuracy and preserving SEO rankings.
Salesforce was integrated with Magento to improve order processing and automate data transfer, while enhancements to image sorting helped make managing the large jewellery catalogue more efficient.
The customer-facing experience was redesigned with a stronger focus on navigation, product discovery and visual presentation. The multi-vendor marketplace structure was also refined to support smoother vendor onboarding, product management and order processing.
To support the rebrand, Magneto also introduced trust-building touchpoints including personalised email campaigns, guidance through popups and credibility-focused notifications. Seller feedback, customer input and regular User Acceptance Testing were incorporated into the process to ensure the new experience addressed the needs of the marketplace community.
The result was a more scalable Magento 2 marketplace with improved data integrity, stronger system integration, easier product discovery and a more streamlined experience for buyers, sellers and internal teams.
For jewellery businesses operating marketplaces or managing large and complex product catalogues, the Louped project demonstrates how replatforming can combine technology, data migration, SEO preservation and customer experience without losing sight of the wider business ecosystem.
