Loxa brings dedicated jewellery and watch protection to the Jewellery Show

Loxa Stand: R24
Loxa brings dedicated jewellery and watch protection to the Jewellery Show
Loxa offers accidental damage and theft cover at the jewellery and watch counter, in-store and online. The company is on stand R24 at the Jewellery Show, Olympia London, 2 and 3 September 2026.
Loxa, the FCA-authorised embedded insurance provider, will showcase its dedicated product protection schemes for jewellery and watch retailers at the Jewellery Show at Olympia London on 2 and 3 September, on stand R24. The schemes let retailers offer accidental damage and theft cover in the same transaction as the sale, in-store and online, for one or two years. Cover includes repair or replacement up to the insured value, worldwide protection on trips of up to 180 days, and no excess on any claim. They address a gap that sits on the average purchase rather than the exceptional one. The average UK engagement ring costs £2,247, and the average watch added to a home insurance policy is worth £3,000. Standard home contents policies from Admiral, Allianz, Halifax, Nationwide and Sainsbury's Bank cap single items at £2,000.
One major insurer reported a 43% jump in high-value jewellery claims in a single year, and almost 50,000 watches have been reported stolen in the UK since 2019.

"A customer who has just chosen a ring is thinking about protecting it. The same customer a week later is thinking about something else entirely," said Jamie Hamer, co-founder and CEO of Loxa. "That is the whole problem. Protection has always been offered late, by someone the customer has no relationship with, for a piece they bought somewhere else. We have built it into the moment of sale instead, and we have built it so the jeweller stays at the centre of it."

The schemes are designed around how jewellers already work. Where a claim is approved, Loxa arranges the repair at the retailer's own bench wherever possible, with pre-agreed costs. Where a replacement is needed, it is sourced from the retailer and paid to the customer as a voucher, returning the customer to the shop that sold them the piece rather than to a third party.

Retailers earn commission on every product protection policy sold, with no setup cost, no change to the payment journey and no additional regulatory burden on their business. In-store, policies are logged through the Loxa Portal or an existing till system, with staff training and counter materials provided. Online, Loxa connects natively to more than 70% of UK ecommerce infrastructure through apps for Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and PrestaShop, as well as direct API integrations. Most retailers go live within 48 hours.

Howden and Loxa have a mutual commercial introducer relationship for jewellery and watch merchants.

Loxa closed a £2.7 million seed round in March 2026 and is live with more than 50 leading UK retailers across jewellery, watches, furniture, eyewear, power tools, electronics and catering equipment.

Loxa will be on stand R24 at the Jewellery Show, Olympia London, on 2 and 3 September 2026. For more information, visit jewellery.loxacover.com.
